After more than a month of in-person, distanced rehearsals, the Broadmoor Chamber Singers have hit their stride, rehearsing from 7-8pm Monday evenings. Singing together from the safety of a car may be the current "new normal," but that hasn't dimmed our enthusiasm or ability to learn new music! We are excited to share our music with the community. Stay tuned for updates regarding our season.

Under Justin's guidance, the Broadmoor Chamber Singers have continued sharing their voices with the world. Despite the challenges posed to choirs in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Justin has overseen implementation of multiple forms of music technology that have enabled their voices to be shared. Most recently, a successful GoFundMe campaign raised over $3,000 for the purchase of wireless Drive-In Choir equipment that enables singers to participate in choral singing from the safe, socially distant comfort of their own cars.
More information about the Drive-In Choir setup and implementation can be found at https://www.drivewaychoir.org/.

Choral Techniques
The Intersection of Voice Pedagogy and Choral SingingChoral directors work with many more singers in their career than voice teachers. Yet many of the breakthroughs in voice pedagogy have not made their way into the choral field. As someone who works closely with singers in both ensembles and the studio, I have found great success incorporating evidence-based voice pedagogy into the choral rehearsal, empowering singers to greater ease and expressivity.

See the Process HereOn the Documents page, I outline multiple frameworks for incorporating foundational principles of voice pedagogy into the choral rehearsal.
