Bio. Justin E. Moore is a dynamic vocal music educator, director, and voice pedagogue with over 15 years of experience in the field.
Justin has worked with choirs and vocal ensembles that span every size, age, and ability level. Realizing the vast potential at the intersection of voice pedagogy and choral techniques, Justin has worked to craft an instructional philosophy that places healthy, expressive vocal function at the heart of his choral philosophy. Regularly composing and arranging for his ensembles, he continues to provide a tailored approach to each group. His singers thrive thanks to thoughtful feedback and nuanced repertoire selection. As a voice teacher, Justin's students have experienced tremendous success in growing and mastering their instrument. Singers are regularly accepted into their music and musical theater programs of choice, prestigious choral ensembles, and successfully audition for leading roles in academic, professional, and regional musical productions. Justin's experience spans a broad range of musical styles and performance opportunities. A singer of classical art song, opera, musical theater, jazz, and commercial music styles, he relies on a solid foundation of classical training and continuing education to inform his ever-growing body of performance repertoire. Notable selections have included singing Martin (The Tender Land), Dr. Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), El Remendado (Carmen), and various other roles. In concert, Justin has sung the tenor solos from Handel's Messiah, Saint-Saens' Messe Solenelle, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Schubert's Mass No. 6 in Eb, and Britten's Canticle III: Still Falls the Rain. His current research interests include: applications of fundamental elements of voice pedagogy in choral singing, continued exploration of speech pathology and kinesiology literature related to the breath cycle, and the jaw's relationship to functional respiration. |
